“I stayed in Room 711, I chose a bigger River view corner room suite (1 bedroom & Living area) to make sure I get the best in this historic hotel. Few hours after my arrival, I found out that the AC doesn’t cool the bedroom, the blower barely throws any air in the bedroom. At the same time living area gets colder as the temp setting - 68. I woke up at 2:30am as I was feeling heated and asked the front desk, as I expected the response was - there’s no maintenance at that time. So she noted but...

“Nice property, but they should consider investing in room key verification before customers can use elevators. My husband and I were approached by a man (possibly homeless, yet obviously under the influence) as we went into the elevator. The man came within inches of my husband and partially into the elevator. I was frantically attempting to close the elevator door. Fortunately, my husband was considerably taller and heavier than the man. The man backed off but this could have been another...

“This hotel was very nice and spacious! We traveled as a family of four and had plenty of room. The hotel was clean and updated. Breakfast was good, coffee could use a little work. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we’re in the area.”

“Made the mistake of booking the wrong date with a third party but the receptionist was VERY helpful and was able to switch the date (and no extra fees) and get us a room even though they had limited rooms available.”
